Hi there my present project is awaiting paint, but with all this snow and ice its too cold!!, so I've decided to start a new one - Revell's 39 Chevy Sedan delivery lowrider. Its going to bit a bit radical, so I've altered the bodywork to make it an estate, removed the fenders, added large wheels and tyres and dropped the body over the chassis. Here's a pic of the mock-up. Might lower the front of the body a bit more to give it more of a rake, might even move the rear axel back just a bit. Not sure on engine at the moment, but that will all evolve as the project develops. What do you guys think? Mike Attachments:

That's mad alright! How about moving the front axle forward as well? Looks like fun.

Might just be the photo but it looks like dropping the front axle might mean some clearance issues in the fenders.
Looking kool either way.

What fenders?

I assumed that fenders might appear at some stage in the build! Having said that, it might work with cycle fenders out back and nothing up front, maybe with a chopped '32 Lincoln grill to tie the front end together?
Or it could be time for my medication......

Not planning on any fenders, but who knows, things change. Trying just to get the rolling chassis looking good at the moment, always difficult getting brakes and axles to fit properly, everything has different size fittings!

Finally got the chassis sorted, decided on an engine (from the Monogram 39 Chevy Coupe) and got it positioned along with the radiator and grille. Here is a pic of the mock-up so far. Just started on the interior panels and seats. Thinking the bed will have a wooden flooring. Hope you approve. mike Attachments:

Hi there thought it was time for an update, got the interior nearly finished and the paint on the body. Decided against black, done too many black cars lately. All that remains are a few finishing touches then put the thing together, heres hoping all goes well Mike Attachments:
