I talked about this project with some of you at Telford and progress has been made in the intervening weeks, so I thought it was about time I showed you what is going on. This is the inspiration for the project, a HotWheels car! These are the three lits I am using in order to model my version of the HotWheels Rod. and here's the mocked up model ready for some tweaks and fettlin' ! Hope you guys like what you see? Cheers, Rick. aka Sixwheeler.

Thanks for all your comments, Guys. I have made some progress toward getting this project finished so here are some more pix... The chassis with it's detailed Brake 'Chute. The Plumbed and Wired Engine. The rear of the engine. The other side of the engine. Regarding the "soft top" on this model, it would have been fibreglass on the real thing with a full rollcage underneath even though this is a Show Rod meant mainly for Show and it just happens to Go pretty quickly as well. I don't think it would have been that competitive if it was built full size as a competition Dragster (but that's just my humble, naive opinion). In line with this being a Show Rod I will be painting it Two-Tone Red and Black with plenty of chrome (as can be seen by the engine) although I am still tempted to do it Satin Black with Gold meltalwork. I'll keep you posted. Cheers, Rick. aka Sixwheeler.

Plenty of "show" in the cockpit. Probably won't need any ICE with that Hemi right behind you either!
