Chatting with a friend yesterday and he mentioned that he'd once seen an Esci kit of a Custom Transit van.
I know they did stock and Paris - Dakar versions but a Custom version? Does anyone know if such a thing actually was produced? Got a photo? Want to sell it?

I don't know but wasn't the transit available as a 'custom' trim level? Like Ghia etc. Maybe that was what was meant

Ooooh, nasty, but somehow horribly accurate.
I have a new Grail!

Yes Esci did make the Tranny - Mk2 short wheel base, If you do find one though I hope you've recently robbed a bank, won the lottery or similar. Rocking horse do do or hens teeth doesn't come close.
We can only hope that Revell have access to the moulds and one day see the light

Tere have been a few on ebay recently, anything from £30 upwards. I like the idea of a Mk1 though, much more interesting shape and would go with this... Hope the Tranny is more accurate and easier to work with though!

Is that the Australian resin body?

Yes, from Parts box. Resin is pretty thick and no mold for inside of van, looks like a 1 piece mould with the resin just poured to a thickness, almost 'swilled' around if you know what I mean. Wheels and tyres look good. I had to reshape the front windows as they were the wrong shape (still not perfect, I may redo) but at least they are doing something different. Will probably bring it to Huddersfield ;D
