Well this is as far I've got I'm using this kit, I quite like the idea of the phaeton body as is so I may concentrate on the business end. Haven't quite decided on what yet though... And looking at the potential problems with the frame - not what you'd call straight... I decided that I'd slide some contrail tube over the cross members to add some strength to the join and it also helped to straighten out the rails too. Add in the running board supports and it seems to have come out quite well so far. I've also striped all the chrome from the suspension parts. I fancy replacing the coil overs with something better, and posable steering too. Then it'll be Alcalded. I'm keeping the billet style wheels too, well it's got to be done on a Buttera hasn't it? Those frame rails look all too familiar to me! They do seem to straighten out pretty well though, we're such a talented bunch of builders!

I think AMT did do a '32 Phaeton with a Carson top, looked pretty kool.
