I thought that as Dave is building the AMT Impala I'd have a go at the Revell version. So far the body has been painted with a combination of Tamiya Pearl White roof and Vauxhall Lagoon Blue from Halfords for the rest of the body. I'll be working on the chassis next so I can see how it looks with the wheels on.

Hi,
Looks like a good colour combination. Its going to be interesting to see what people come up with for our '63 display - what plans have you got for this project?
Cheers,

The plans are to use the lowered suspension with the custom wheels and low profile tyres supplied with the kit. Unfortunately one of the uprights has broken off the front suspension so I'll have to fabricate a replacement. It looks fairly straightforward, I may be able to adapt part of the raised suspension part.
If not, I do have a back up kit or two.

Hi,
Sounds like it'll fit right in the theme display!

The Impala hasn't got very far I'm afraid but I have got it up on it's wheels after some grafting together of front suspension parts.

Hi,
Glad I'm not the only one not to finish a theme model this year! I woud have had my vette on its wheels for the show but the wheelbase needs altering. What you've done so far is looking good - its best not to rush for a deadline and get the model done the way you want so you won't spend years looking at something you're not happy with!
Cheers,
