Despite reading about poorly fitting custom parts I couldn't resist this when I saw it in my local model shop. While the custom parts aren't a particularly good fit with some fettling and a slice out of the middle of the rear pan I managed to improve the look of them a bit. While the pieces for the rear lights fit OK they are wider than the part they attach to so need to be thinned down. Then it was time for some filler. While trying to decide which wheels to use I managed to get my hands on an AMT '63 Corvette and tried the stock wheels on the Bel Air. I like the look of them so I'll probably be going with them. I'll be leaving some of the side trim on as it will give me more options for colour schemes but everything else will be coming off.
