Just got this kit on Saturday night (Thanks Andy ), and had to have a play with it straight away. The kit is really cool, with most of the parts newly tooled. Mine won't be build straight from the box, I just can't do it! The chassis is from an earlier release, so it doesn't have the exhaust notches in the bottom of the rails. The reason for this is that I'm not using the blown small block, I'm using the Hemi from the 5 window kit. I will also use the recessed firewall from the previous releases to clear the Hemi. Colour could be gold, or purple, or red.....something metallic anyways. By the way, the wheels and tyres are gorgeous

Hi,
Looking forward to seeing your rendition of this kit.
Was planning to buy one of these from Andy - hope he still has some left!

Dave
Are you planning on using the tail lights?
I just lost one to the carpet monster and I'm five days off copy deadline for the model.

Had to make some more mods to fit the Hemi engine. I'm using the recessed fire wall from the older roadster kit, which is too narrow for the body, so I have had to make some filler pieces for the sides of the body opening. I have also had to shorten the floorboard, and angle the foot board back as well to clear the Hemi. Not as easy a swap as it first looked.

Just a heads up for you Dave; Keep a look out for warpage of the rear section of the chassis frame. Mine has it quite noticeably and a friends is the same.
Not sure it will cock a wheel up but it is noticeable.

Hi,
I'm having to make a new floorboard and recess the firewall for my prostreet pickup to fit the hemi in so its interesting to hear you're having similar problems with this one Dave.
Keep us posted with your progress!!

Get a grip Dave! Just grind down the back of the hemi engine/ gearbox until it fits under the floorboard - it's not like anyone is ever going to see it!
(But of course you will know......)
