With a small collection in my loft of about 15 unbuilt kits, I have started to dive in and get creative. Here's what I put together yesterday.... '58 Plymouth Fury but with a race car chassis. I might just leave it in primer? I can never build a model straight out of the box - it's always modified in some way, even if it's just a wheel swap.

That looks like a great start. Me? I'd paint it, but it is your model at the end of the day. Looking forward to seeing this progress.

Hi,
Nice start to the project. These sorts of cars generally have really sharp paint jobs on them but there are some around in primer so as Dave says its your model and go with your own artistic temperment.
Nice to see a new face putting work up on our forum!
Cheers,

Just found this photo of 1/12th scale Vespa's that I mod-ified, some years back. Don't have them now - sold them on ebay !

;D Thanks. The '57 Ford started out as a Dave Grady inspired racecar, before I changed ideas. After all, Daves car was a 4 door. I've just checked my ebay sales, and got £121 worth of sales today. I can't buy any more kits with it ....can I ? Having not built any for years, I fear I might be loosing the plot. Dave's old '57 Ford after Dave Whelan bought it....

Saw this one at last years' Whitby show, a very tough looking car.

..a proper 2 door '57, with what looks like a Mustang engine fitted. Needs better signwriting though! ;D
