With the Charger finished I'm going to get stuck into this one. After the complications of the Charger, I want a nice straight forward build. So apart from wiring the engine, it's going to be box stock. Well, unless it needs lowering..... Colour? Well for me the 32 is at its best when full fendered, no more than a mild chop, un-channeled, un- z'd, un-flamed and BLACK. So it will look just like the boxart! Attachments:

So far there are no fit issues and the chassis body combo sits nice and flat. There are of course the usual mold lines to eliminate but there is also some nasty mis-alignments at points 1 and 2 plus a 'glitch' in the panel line at 3. There is also a 'raised' section at 4 which needed to be reduced as it's not there on the 1:1. Attachments:

Did a bit more around the rear of the body. It's still not quite right but it's almost there. Attachments:

Hi,
Nice start to the '32 - apart from those body line errors across the top of the boot its a great kit. Norm at Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has loads of stuff for '32 kits if you want yours done to be a bit different from the rest but still mainly box stock.
Pleased to hear you're planning to have a couple done for the show - we should really be a clever SIG and co-ordinate what people are doing with their '32s!
Cheers,

With last weekends model show out of the way, I've made a little progress on the 32. I built the enginebut am a bit unsure about having chrome headers!!! The artwork on the box top, shows white walls for the tyres................ only you don't get 'em. So, I painted the blue lines instead. Attachments:

Try bluing the headers up a bit if pure chrome doesn't work for you!

I got the base black laind and the first coat of two pack applied, when disaster struck. A whacking great lump of grit on one fender. Too big to polish out so in the bath it went. Think I have it nailed this time though. Boy!, ain't black hard to photograph, it shows every bloodys speck of dust no matter how hard I try to avoid it!!! Attachments:

Hi,
Its looking good - black is a hard colour to keep looking clean - one of my ex-pupils bought a black car but now wishes she hadn't! You'll have to keep dusting it off at shows!
Cheers,

Nothing like a black paint job to act as a dust magnet and a camera confuser!

Whoah! Superb work. Loving the deep shine on that bodywork. Nice work.
