Many, many changes were made along the way, here are most of them: Front wheel arches re-profiled. Front and rear wing turn signal lights filled. Original fuel filler filled on top of rear drivers wing and moved to the side. After market wheels and tyres fitted. Suspension narrowed at rear to accomodate same. Rear suspension lowered. Front clip raised on chassis to lower front suspension.Half frame chassis scratch build under bonnet. Full roll cage scratch built. Padding and cable ties added to the roll cage. Steering wheel 'taped'. Parts box seat and home made harness with P/E fittings. Rear end cooler made from parts box bits and plumbed to dif. After market decals by BSR, printed by Cartograph. Rear panel 'sheeted over with alluminium' Front and rear bumper overiders removed. Rear window 'plug' installed to replicate the plug in the Charger 500 as used in the 1:1 and a new window made from clear acetate. car. Front chin spoiler added. Chrome replaced with Alclad II. Scratch made drivers door mesh. Exhaust dumps made from alluminium tubing. Four scratch made shockers added to the rear axle. Engine wired including coil. Top hose made from silicone tube with solder insert. Brake lines added to servo. Instrument bezels made from anglers 'rig rings'. Red starter button made from turned down brass sewing pin. Switches supplied by our own escale store. Paint is Zero Paints Italian Red with two pack automotive clear over the top. No polishing. I broke the original windscreen (which wasn't a great fit anyway) and Revell refused to supply a new one as I was converting their kit to a NASCAR build. Go figure!!! Anyway, a member on a different site, very kindly stepped up to the plate and sent me one. It needed modification by removing the quarter light glass. When that was done the edges needed sliimimg. It too wasn't a great fit so in the end I made a new one from clear acetate. The passenger side hood '427 Cu. In.' decals was way to long and had to be cut into three in order for it to fit. It's been a long hard slog with this one but I feel it was worth the effort in the end. Attachments:
