'50 Austin Drag Sedan

Hi, my name is Mike and I'm a new member, so I thought I would show you what I'm working on now. Its a Revell '50 Austin Drag sedan. First made in the '70s and painted by hand, it has long been in the scrap heap, so I decided to re make it. I want to make a modern street rod and am using the chassis from the MPS Flip-out Mustang. Im going to give it big wheels which will need wide arches and a new engine. Will let you know how it progresses. Hope you like the idea.

Better get the razor saw out, that's a lot of chassis to get under a small car. Have fun!

Surprisingly the chassis fits perfecty, the hard work has been making wider fenders to fit the bigger wheels

Hi there, got the chassis fitting well, so I've added the engine, suspension and wheels. put the first lot of primer onto the body and started the long job of getting it smooth. Thinking of keeping the paint job simple, maybe black.

That's looking well cool, certainly low enough. Coming together nice and quick.

Finally got the body sorted. Gave it a first coat of paint, Tamiya TS40 metallic black. While this is drying I will start to do the interior. keeping it simple, most of it will come from my spares box, so it will be whatever fits.

It is indeed! Like the colour ;D Seats look a bit 'shiney', someone been polishing the leather?

Finally got it finished. Had to make a few changes to the interior , seats wouldnt fit once the doors were in place! Decided to leave it quite simple. Hope you like it
