I've always liked the idea of using a food dehydrator for speeding up the paint drying process on models. HOWEVER, being a self confirmed meanie I never liked the idea of paying £50 plus for a commercial unit. That money is better spent on more models!! ;D So I made my own. I think it cost me about a tenner in all. The shelf I already had but anything perforated will do. In the photo, I have two 60 watt bulbs but following a disaster with some small parts, I now use two 12w energy saving bulbs. As a guide, I switch it on about thirty minutes before I need it and let a body 'bake' for about six hours. Attachments:

Hi,
I remember you describing it to me at SMW and I liked the idea of it - thanks for putting a description and picture up. I will have a go at making one, but not until the spring as I spray in an unheated extension meaning no spraying during the cold damp months!
