Hi all, Andy from Model Cars ( www.model-cars.org.uk/showproducts.php?category=ENGINES%20&%20PLUG%20LEADS%20BLOWERS%20ETC ) gave me the link so thought I'd pop in... I'm just starting to get back into modelling after a 30 odd yr gap, I've renovated some Die-Casts as they where nice and cheap as well as them being in my price range, I've only ever built a couple of cars in the past but would love to give a Hot Rod a go... So any help/pointers etc would be gratefully received... Andy...

Hi, Welcome to the forum - hope you enjoy it! Always feel free to ask questions - there's lots of knowledgeable people on here who'll help you out. You'll find the hobby has evolved a lot since you were building - so I'll finish with a recommendation. You said you wanted to give a hot rod a go so if you haven't built a car for a while and wanted a model that will look good, have some building options and build well out of the box try one of Revell's 1932 kits. The sedan and the 5 window coupe are the latest and will tick all the boxes I've just mentioned. The model pictured here is a Revell 3 window coupe from the same series of kits. Its been built straight with the box and painted with a mix of Halfords paints and Humbrol enamels. The only thing that is a bit extra is the bare metal foil on the running boards. Cheers,

And a welcome from me. The '32 kits really are good, I've done 3 so far, all chopped about a bit...

Hi all,
So sorry for the late reply...
Many thanks for the warm welcome and pointers, I must say that these cars are unbelievable, they are works of art...
