Just got my grubby mits on the Polar Lights 1/25 Batmobile snap kit this morning. The kit has a nicely prepainted body, a promo style chassis that screws to the underside of the body and nice Radir mags and tyres, but no engine. With some detail painting, it should look sharp. By the by, I have just read that of the 4 or 5 cars built by the Barris crew, one was used as a drag race exhibition vehicle, anyone ever seen pics of this? I'm off to Google now.

Just Googled the Batmobile Drag car, and it looks pretty much like the rest of them. Shame, I was hoping for a wild Gasser version, but why should that stop me building one? This car had T handle shifter and a manual box, and holes drilled in the rear windows to stop the canopies acting as air breaks and ripping themselves off.

It's done! Just finished the BMF and final assembly. Doesn't look half bad.

I have been looking forward to the glue version but that body does look rather good! Shame no engine though, wonder if the snap body will fit the glue kit lol

I've been sent the Delux version to review for the Airfix Magazine.
Nice thing; choice of Turbine or Hemi, two different canopies and centre arches but....
It costs....
Ready now....
no really are you sitting down....
£70!
Damn scares even me that does!

That is a LOT of money for a kit, even if it has an opening trunk, and photoetch(?). Looking forward to seeing it done though, do us proud.
