Oh, God. Started another project! Got this great little body off Andy a couple of weeks back, and finall got started on it today. The donor kit is the old Union Plastic Co. 2 in 1 Beetle stock/Gasser kit from the early 90's(?). The plan is to channel the body nice and low over the chassis, the wheels are wide 5's off the AMT '36 Ford, and the stock engine will be tuned, all being well, with twin carbs. I have narrowed the front axle to get the front wheels nice and high in the front wings. The engine should also be visible through the rear window. Whitewalls may well appear soon...

I had to narrow the floor pan a touch, to compensate for the thickness of the body, but apart from that it all fits quite nicely.

The recent AMT Parts Pack has a very nice Corvair in it and all the Revell buggies did too (including the Grand Turismo).

After weeks of inactivity, I made some progress this morning. Just filling and sanding holes, but some progress at least....
