Seeing as the dust is (literally) settling after the move, I thought I'd better bite the bullet and see what this picture posting lark is all about (on the grounds that I'll probably only see you guys once a year at best).
I understand the concept but does anyone have a view on which is the best posting site (Photobucket, FOTKI etc) and, more importantly, some input on sizing shots would be appreciated. I tend to shoot at the camera's full resolution so individual shots are typically 2 - 3mb, will that cause problems?
All offers of help gratefully received.

Hi,
I understand that photobucket automatically reduces the size of the picture that you upload - I just upload then copy and paste the img tag into my posts. I haven't had any problems yet.
Cheers,

I use Photobucket as well with no problems. Just remember not to delete your pics from Photobucket once you've posted them, or they'll disappear from where ever you've posted them as well:)
Now, let's see what you've been up to.

Let's just say there is a completed project that involves a Buick but don't hold your breath guys! At least I know what I need to do, I think.
Stay tuned for experimental disasters!

Photobucket for me too. Once you have registered, you can start uploading. Try and use different folders - don't just put them all in one - you will regret it later once you have lots of photos because you won't be able to find them! To upload, click on the upload button and find the picture on your computer when the box pops up. When they have uploaded, save and return to your folder. Then to post them, put your cursor over the picture you want to copy and abox will appear around it. Underneath will be two codes, click on the top IMG code and it will say 'copied'. Go to your posting on the forum and click right click on your mouse and choose 'paste' and the code will appear. When you submit the post, you will see the picture. As Dave says, if you move or delete the picture in photobucket, it will disappear on the forum too so make sure you have them in relevant folders from the start. Good luck, lets see those pics!

Once you get above a 1000 photos in a Photobucket folder it runs vee-ee-rrr---yy slowly, so do use lots of folders.
And visit the site every so often because they delete accounts that aren't used after 6 months or so - they will send several emails before they do.
What year Buick?

The Buick is a 66 Wildcat.
First test with Photobucket was not a huge success, couldn't get an avatar photo to load. Resized it, selected the right link and zilch.
The struggle continues....

AMT or the Japanese 1/24 version?
Which bit exactly are you having trouble with? If you follow voyager's instructions you shouldn't go far wrong...
