Here's a project I started quite a few years ago, and put straight back in the box when I chopped the roof off and went ARRRGGHH! The general plan is for a full custom look with (possibly) Corvette wheels, whitewall tyres, full custom bodywork and a flash paint job.

Like the front end treatment. I don't remember there being such a height difference for the pick up part though, very odd. I built the pick up version years ago and I seem to remember it was a pretty simple job.

Hi, Harley. The new roof part isn't glued into place yet, it will snug down with a bit of super glue. Got any pics of your build? This is a conversion I haven't seen many examples of over the years.

Sorry, no pictures but I can tell you it was gloss black with the twin hood scoops and stock wheel trims. I think I was going for a factory stcok sort of look. Couldn't resist a Caminomad logo across the tail gate!

The roof does usually fit pretty well if you get it level with the floor okay.
Liking the '57 Chevy kustom front, are you gonna put the extended rear fins on the back too?

Got the roof glued on last night, followed by lots of filler. Sanded it all smooth today and it don't look half bad. Not sure what I'm doing at the rear yet. Not using the '57 fins as I've lost (traded?) my spare set already. It needs a nice rolled pan of some description back there. Harley, your build sounds cool, gloss black as well, brave man!
