Just got back from our holiday in Somerset, and what do ya know, I found a model shop in Frome. Typical British model shop, with two rooms stacked floor to ceiling with military kits, totally rammed. Lucky for me they had just had a delivery off Revell US, with street rods, show rods and muscle cars hidden amongst the military stuff. Plus they had some race car kits in the window, so I came away with these two (the missus was in a good mood being on holiday!!) The Talbot should look good with a Top Fuel motor and slicks out back, Yes?

I've never bought the Monogram '32 roadster before, so I can't really compare. It has a small block chevy engine with round air cleaner, which I am sure is carried over. The wheels are nice chrome steelies with separate hubcaps, the tyres look to be the same ones from the Revell '32 kits but with no names on the sidewalls, just smooth (licensing issues?). There are some nice pinstripe decals included for the trunk lid, including a mad rabbit design. Not many bits in the box, but should build up nicely.

Sounds like another outing for the L'il Deuce, Son of Ford, Antique Iron etc etc moulds. Not a bad kit at all although, if it is the same one, the frame sort of disappears when it gets under the body.

Hi Guys,
Looks like you did well finding some interesting kits - I too benefited from my wife being in a good mood on holiday in a model shop and was able to pick up a 68 vette to rob the engine for a rod from and some tools. Pity we're not all on holiday with our wives at SMW because then we could really make use of all the stuff available at the show!
If that '32 is the same kit as the Revell easy builder kit being 1/24th scale the tyres and wheels are slightly different sizes to the Revell 3 window, roadster, sedan and 5 window series - I know, I tried putting the wheels into a set of tires and have ended up using both the tyres and the wheels from the easy builder kit on my roadster. The roadster is a highboy but I think the slightly bigger wheels will fit under the fenders if one wished to go that route.
Cheers,
Jim
