I got myself a 60 Ford Starliner kit, to build something cool for the 1960 kit build for Telford. Unfortunately the body, floorpan and chassis were totally warped to buggery, and I ended up snapping the floor pan trying to straighten it! Back in the box it all went, thinking it's a great parts donor kit anyway... So then I thought, let's build a show rod, so the saw came out!! The warped body, The roof comes off (this has already gone to a good home!) Then I shortened it a bit... Then glued it back together. Since these pics were taken I have shortened it even more...and narrowed it a bit...

Since the last pics were taken, I have wedge narrowed the body, shortened it again, filled the rear wheel wells and added the interior and bubble top from the Beatnic Bandit. Needs lots of filler now, and a chassis, and an engine... Still plenty to do!

That is looking much better, the stance is perfect. Just shave a little bit off the bottom of the body. Big zoomys from the front wheel wells and you ate away!!!!!
Great looking build

Making some slow progress with this build. I don't think I'll have it done for Telford though... I have built a chassis, with engine mounts and suspension, so I can at least display it as a rolling project.

Turn the headers upside down, flip side for side and run them out higher in the wheel arch? Just a thought.
