I've been packing away my modelling stuff over the weekend prior to a move and I'm left with two items that I really don't want to bin but can't see me ever doing anything with.
First is a built up old MPC oval racer. It's not a NASCAR but it is a full bodied late '60's/ earlt '70's car with complete racing chassis and exhausts that come up and over the engine and exit through the bodywork.
It looks complete (but what do I know?) and the body has no paint on it, just some rather tired decals.
Second we have the components for a diorama. The original diorama base hasn't weathered the years too well but all the model bits (bar one) are still OK - if dusty. This was my "Sorry Mate I didn't see you" diorama which shows a Volvo cut in two after having had a bike ride through the side of it. If you're interested you will be getting both parts of the Volvo (including a driver still on his mobile and assorted debris), two passers by, a Golf GTI for background and rufty tufty biker figure who is posed to be talking to the driver. You'll need to source a 1/25 - 24 scale bike but I can't belive that should be a big problem.
Form an orderly queue please.

No takers?
If it helps the race car is the old MPC USAC Super Stocker Chevelle. Sought after in unbuilt form (so I'm told) less so in built form perhaps?

I remember that diorama from Street Machine years ago! Please may I have it? I will do my best to restore it.
Cheers, Dave.

After spending HOURS trawling through old Street Machine mags ( what a chore!) I found the diorama in Small Talk. Still makes me smile.

Sorry Dave, it's already found a new home - but it is scheduled for restoration (one day)!

No worries, Harley, I'm sure it's gone to a good home.
