HMMM. In no particular order I'd try brake fluid, cellulose thinners or maybe see if any of the UK model retailers stock something specific. I did pick up a can of Poly S (or something similar) at Telford last year which has worked on everything except two pack - nothing will shift two pack!
I've tried everywhere but the UK doesn't seem to have an equivalent of the Castrol "purple" engine cleaner that all the US folks swear by for striping paint, unless someone here knows different of course.

Remember, that stuff gets everywhere so thorough scrubbing and drying are in order. Yes, that is the voice of bitter experience talking.....

Fairy Power Spray, shifts just about anything within 48 hours.
At worst it'll take the paint down to primer and then you'll have to scrub it around a bit with a toothbrush and immerse it again.
Brilliant stuff.
Perhaps the only downside is that it will often remove putty / filler and glue too, but if you're rebuilding a model not such a bad thing. Bit of a pain if you've built a radical kustom full of the ol' Glenn Miller though.

The only thing I hadn't tested Power Spray on was resin. Well no time like the present so I grabbed a resin '58 Chevy panel van that I'd completely sprayed with Halford grey primer. Problem was despite thoroughly cleaning the body there were a couple of places where primer hadn't properly stuck - must have had some mold release still on it - the rest of the body was fine and could have been painted over with top coat. Barely 24 hours later (including giving it a couple of sloshes around) here's the results... looks a bit like someone threw it up I know... ;D That's chunks of old paint from previous strips not sweetcorn or kebab... it was sat in the power spray up to the roof line, hence sloshing it about to get the liquid all over the roof too. That's why the roof is still covered in grey primer. That clean swept area along the top is where I touched the roof lightly to see if the paint was loose Quick rinse in cold water followed by a soft rub with a toothbrush and it's back to new though the body's a little pink in places I'm guessing because the last few paint jobs I've removed from other cars have been red and the liquid has dyed the resin slightly... Incidentally the primer had been on for about four or five months so was completely dry. There was no damage to the resin so I'm assuming it would be fine to leave it in there for several days - not tried that yet. Don't see any reason why it would melt, I've left plastic in there for 10 days because I forgot and had no issues.

That's pretty impressive! Nothing left in nooks or crannies either. Definitely putting that on the shopping list!

I am impressed! The only problem I am having is getting hold of it?? I have tried the local Tesco, Sainsbury's and Co-op but none of them stock it.

I had that problem too but did finally find some in Sainsburys in Brighouse - not sure where you are?

Got mine from Sainsburys for about £3.70 a bottle but they haven't had any recently, it is available on eBay if you don't mind paying extra...

Managed to find 2 lots of Fairy Power Spray in an 8 til' late Co-op. Tried it on a Heller Citroen Taxi that someone started and painted brown(?). 2 hrs later it's ready to clean up and re-prime! Amazing stuff... Thanks for the advice Guys!!
