And, of course, both kits have Ford Cobra lumps so that should make the mix a bit easier.
I really hope the backdrop to the first photo isn't the real thing, it looks like it's had a low rent pimping job done: nasty paint, tacky murals, product stickers and those (yuk) wheels. Grandpa would be spinning in his grave, if he had one.

Sorry, Harley, but it is the real deal. Saw it at the Cars the Star museum in Keswick a few years ago. Also read online somewhere that it was one of two built by Barris, possibly for promo work. The museum has since closed down of course, no idea where the car went

That is truly barf inducing.
As Bart Simpson wisely said: Don't mess with the classics.

A quick update on the Munster's Koach. The chassis is in primer, waiting for a topcoat of gloss red. The engine halves are glued together ( ) and painted, engine just needs building now. The dash has been smoothed ready for a photoetch digital dash. These pics show roughly how the car will sit, as long as the wheels fit under the arches.

Or lower the body a bit, dump the fenders and run it as a high boy?
And, while we're talking Munster's Koach, has anyone ever seen a photo of it with the front and rear soft tops extended - I think that would give it a very different look.

Build it as a highboy? Maybe the next one, so I can stretch the chassis and fit a HUGE engine

I went to Keswick on last March, and I come to Tourist Information Centre. TIC Staff told me, Cars of the stars were move to America, on since 2011. More closed down with car museums in UK on further. :-(, one of this comment over Cars of the star museum

So I chopped the front fenders off, trimmed them at the pencil mark, and glued them back on a bit higher up. It may not be clear in the pic, but the stance is much better now.

I've now channelled the body over the frame to get it a bit lower.

Made some more progress yesterday. The chassis is now done, with a prop shaft made from aluminium tube. The engine is as done as it will be and in the chassis. I have also channelled the body over the chassis and put a new floor in it. Dropping the body over the chassis meant I had to trim the body a bit more to clear the headers, but it's sitting where it should now.

I have made some progress with this build recently. The body has been painted a black pearl finish, with some clear, but I am not too happy with it, so it may get rubbed back for some more colour. I have also installed the in car entertanment system for the kids, which came from AMT's Rides '49 Merc.
