Just to prove I have made a start on a build for Telford, here is my hot rod '32. It is of course the new Revell kit, with lots of bits from the AMT 2 in 1 1960 Ford Starliner. The front suspension is lowered a touch, the front brakes are AMT chromed 1941 drums, whilst the rear are AMT '60 Ford drums. The engine is the hot rodded 1960 352 ci piece from the Starliner kit, with the twin 4 barrels. The wheels are the custom 5 spokes from the Starliner kit, wearing wide whites front and rear, both from AMT parts packs. Paint is gonna be a nice deep metallic ( I will have to see what I have stashed in the garage ) with pinstripe details. That's about it so far.

Hi,
Looks like you've made a good start to your 5-window. The wheels are good - with the narrower width to the ones that come with the Revell kits they give the model different character.
Cheers,

Well, the sun was out, the sky was blue, so I thought I would make the most of this rare opportunity and get some paint on the Deuce The colour is VW Canyon Red (Pearlescent) from a really old tin of Hycote I found in my garage. I have also made some good progress with the engine.

Hi,
Looks good - nice choice of colour, bright shades really suit the '32s.
Cheers,

Made some progress with the interior over this weekend. I have used the '40 Ford dash that comes with the kit. Sprayed it first with Humbrol silver, then went over that with silver glitter paint, from B&Q. Stuck the dash panel in, then gave the whole dash a coat of clear gloss. The floor has some fuzzy fur on it as well. I have also been making progress with wiring the engine. And I'm getting all this done whilst also rebuilding my kitchen been tiling today....

Hi,
Looks like your '32 5 window is coming along well. Do I detect a bit of a 70's vibe going with that interior?!
Cheers,

Well, I'm calling the engine done. It has been built straight from the box, with basic wiring. I have used photoetch plug lead separators, and that's about it.

Looks like Jim, you and I'll have the entire table to our selves.

We may not have hundreds of new builds on the table, but with some selected older builds we should still have a display to be proud of. It's also nice to see a bit of a buzz on here around these '32 builds, it's certainly kept the site lively. Anyway, our illustrious leader tells me he has a secret '32 build on the go, but will he finish it in time?
