Thanks for that Harley. I did get a similar reply on Model Cars forum about the intake (though he sounded like I should have done more research then I would have known!) but nothing about the 'flats' and no reply from Ross Gibson either. I will build it sometime and maybe put it in my General Lee!
Any chance of photos of that pickup? I'm thinking of hand painting a sign as I don't think a decal would look right

One final thought about the flats, would a rod be running stuff like a power steering pump anyway? Might be just a case of hacking off the ancilliaries that you don't need, which will probably just leave you with the alternator!
Can't hold out much hope for pictures of the pickup though. He's not the most accessible of people but I'll give him a try.

Thanks for that. As I said, not much good with engine and mechanical things but you are right, I should have just left that off and made something simpler  I'll keep my fingers crossed for the pics. He's not going to the Hot Rod drags at Shakey this weekend is he (I'm hoping to go Saturday, weather permitting - first time at Skakey and first drags in 30 years!)? |
